PACKING TIPS FOR YOUR TRIP
Ever taken a trip and used only a fraction of the clothes and items you packed? Don't over pack and try this. Pack your suitcase with everything you want to take with you. Then, unpack your case and separate any clothes and items you really don't need or won't use. What's left is what you actually pack and take.
  • Pack important items you cannot loose, in your carry-on luggage. These items should include medications, eyeglasses, travel documents, camera, computer and enough clothing and toiletries to keep you going for a day or two, should your luggage get lost in transit. Pack something to eat in your carry-on but don't pack fluids.
  • Use the compact and lightweight suite cases you can purchase today and avoid being over weight. 
  • Few of us leave enough space in our luggage for gifts we purchase on vacation. Pack a small tote or bag to carry all those must-have items you pick up during your journey. 
  • Pack to dress in layers to accommodate temperature changes. 
  • Pack for the season you will be visiting, not the season you are coming from. 
  • Pack coordinated outfits and colors you can wear in any combination and still look smart and fashionable.  
  • Pack shoes you know will be comfortable when walking and never new shoes you've never worn.  
  • Pack a  small album of photos and share your life with people you meet. 
Some important items to pack: zip-lock plastic bags, extra camera and standard batteries, extra SD cards, a small flash light, small sewing and first aid kits, anti-bacterial cleansing liquid and towels and toilet tissue (for those foreign bathrooms). Any items forgotten can always be purchased, after the fact.
