REDUCE CABIN NOISES DURING FLIGHT
Irritating noises are one of the major causes of in-flight discomfort.
Irritating noises are one of the major causes of in-flight discomfort.
- Good noise cancelling headphones will help eliminate unwanted noises, but are expensive. A cheap option is simple ear plugs, available from any pharmacy.
- Listening to your favorite music or book on your phone or watching available movies will also help reduce unwanted in-flight cabin noise.
- Changes in cabin air pressure can cause ear pain for babies causing them to cry. The crying can usually be avoided if the baby is given a pacifier to suck on during take-off and landing and other passengers in the area are generally more helpful and sympathetic toward the child in distress.
- Keeping older kids occupied with a movie, coloring books or their favorite games will help the flight go by more quietly and quickly.
- Passengers talking incessantly to each other nearby can be very irritating and disrespectful to other passengers.
