Everything associated with this arrangement was absolutely super!! All the flight information was on the mark and the motel was just what you wish for in preparation for a trip like ours. Tip: If two passengers traveling and you want a little more space, reserve seat A and C and hope nobody gets seated in the B seat. If B gets occupied, you give up either the A or C seat and can still sit together. Gillian.

A. and I absolutely loved the trip. I can’t think of anything that could’ve been done better except perhaps one less day in Cape Town. Really it was a perfect trip—loved the safaris, loved the people, loved the food,Martin was a fabulous leader and just everything was great. It was special that we got to go to four different lodges. Since our group was six people it was nice too because we were never crowded.
I definitely consider this the trip of my life time and would like to go back to Africa. At my age I probably won’t be able to but I’m so glad I went this time.

We had a marvelous time. All the connections went well with the exception of picking up the car. Alamo was overbooked and understaffed. When we got to the car rental counter, there were 14 people in front of us. It took an hour and a half of standing in line to get to us. We had reserved a full size car which they did not have. We could either come back in the morning to get a full size car or we could have a pickup or a minivan.
While we filled out paperwork, a worker slipped some keys into a dish full of keys. It so happened it was a full size car. So we eventually got what we had reservations for. We finally got to our hotel around midnight. I don't know if this is common place there but we were frustrated by the process. The car we got was great and performed well after we learned how to use the keyless ignition. Return took five minutes.

Your answer to my initial question regarding cost and dates was very quick and your price was much better than I found on my own on the internet -- also better than the big travel consolidation company that I tried.
The flights on American all ran as expected (DIA - Charlotte - Frankfurt and then Frankfurt - Philadelphia - DIA).

This was an amazing family adventure. We enjoyed the islands the most and the excursions. The options were amazing and so much to do and see. Only downside was the pool was small on this ship. We would take another Carnival Cruise again, great for all ages.

Excellent. Worked the combo deal with Gate1 (Adriatic and Sicily) saving significant money, The air worked fine - all on time. The Adriatic Coast Cruise on the boat was very relaxing, calm, nice, gourmet meals. Nice way to go - nice stops . As usual, TvlTvl put together the perfect package for us. Looking forward to the Russia River Cruise in July/Aug. Then will figure out the next trips.

Good for the trip out to Denver, however the trip back was not so good.
I have a Global ID number that gives me automatic TSA-Pre. It was utilized with my trip out to Denver and worked fine, however on my trip back to Omaha it wasn't showing on my electronic ticket. At the DIA on a Friday night you really need that designation! I cruised through the TSA-Pre line and when I got to the Gatekeeper he told me it wasn't on my ticket and I had to go into the regular line which was crazy-crowded. That took about an hour and 15 minutes.
I suggest in the future when your booking tickets for GEJ, you also ask the person if they have a Global ID number or "Known Traveler" ID as TSA describes it. That way, someone like myself that has that designation is able to use it.

Very well,but my frequent flier number was missing and Delta wanted to charge us for baggage. Once provided they dropped the charge. The crew warned us that the flight to LV could be noisy and it was. Too much alcohol flowed. Also that the return flight would be quiet and it was most passengers were sleeping and minimal alcohol.

This is our 3rd trip to Hawaii and Maui that Rick has helped us set up. He always does an excellent job of finding the best flights and rates. We have stayed at the Outrigger Resorts each time and have been extremely pleased with the accommodations. He gives us excursion and travel tips, as well as taking care of all the details so we don't have to stress about that. He's always available during our vacation so if we have any questions, he takes care of it quickly.

We had a fantastic time, the hotel is very nice and the girls loved the night club. C. and I had fun at the casino one night. I still think the place we went to last year might be nicer as there were more things to do there during the day. C. and I are thinking we want to do a couples trip with the boys there next year.

Thank you so much- the flights went without a hitch, and i feel they were well priced. Just a note, and this is my opinion- I went there for business, wasn't my choice. I would not go back or recommend it. Not that it was bad, but there are a lot of other choices that I feel for the money would be a better vacation. Just feedback from a seasoned traveler.

Debbie did a great job booking my trip to Portland, Maine. On the return, United delayed the flight due to traffic and then delayed another couple of hours due to mechanical issues, causing me to miss my connection. When I called Debbie, I was standing behind 30 people in a customer service line waiting to get rebooked. Debbie immediately assessed that there was no way I would get home that night, as all the later flights were booked solid, and when she looked at departures the following day, she discovered there was only one seat left, which she grabbed for me. When I finally reached the counter after waiting behind some very unhappy people for a long time, they were pleasantly surprised to find that I already had a reservation made by Debbie from Portland for the following day. Most people did not have the advantage of TravelTravel on the other end of the phone and they were forced to catch buses and trains to other airports to get out the following day. As it turned out, because Debbie grabbed that last ticket for me, I had a great extra night's stay with friends and got home safely the following day with no issues. Thanks to Debbie and TravelTravel for turning what could have been a very long and unpleasant two days into an easy travel experience!

The great ocean road. It is truly spectacular!! Probably no. 1 for me of all the beaches I have seen, especially by by the 12 apostles. Some competition for cape town..... Chocolate gannets is wonderful with a great ocean view. Very quite and peaceful, but not in the town that some people might prefer. About 2 k into town. Highly recommend if someone ever asks about the great ocean road. FYI - Lorne is another nice tourist town with a lovely swimming beach. Not as far as Apollo Bay. Longer to get to the 12 apostles. Driving is slow with very wind roads. Beautiful scenery however. Beautiful forest areas also with lots of eucalyptus. No Koala sightings so far.... NYE in Sydney was magical!! Rooftop was a great place to watch the fireworks. Crowded of course. Just some info for your files.

Cherise did an amazing job booking this trip! When I first approached her about what we wanted to do (go to 3 countries in 10 days!) As usual, excellent reservations. Fine service with booking. There were cancellations and rebookings that went well. We had a bad mechanical on the plane from COS to ORD. AA was very uncooperative/incompetent in helping me with the missed connection. I called Rick and he immediately booked me on a flight from ORD to SDF that solved the problem. Just wanted to let you know N. and I are back. What a wonderful trip. We had an incredible time. Thank you so much for all your hard work and help. Just to let you know that I feel it would be to your agencies benefit to remove the hotel in Paris from your list. Hotel Saint Andres was an interesting place. There was no elevator and they put us at the top which meant 9 flights of steep spiraling stairs. The room was dirty not to mention uncomfortable. Fortunately they were able to put us in a different room for the remainder of our time in Paris. It is just not a very nice place. The hotel in Prague, Iron Gate, was great. They have the best breakfast and was very comfortable. The hotel in London was also fine just very small. It reminded me of my first dorm room in college. The glass fingernail files I brought back from Prague, per your suggestion, have been a great gift and a hit with each person who received one. My daughter met us in Paris and we had an amazing time. Thanks again for everything.

A few problems:
1) Wife's name on flight reservation was wrong. Had to catch it last minute and get it changed.
2) My sister, J, also booked thru your agency. We had it planned to me her in Dallas. When she got to her airport, 1 hour and 20 minutes ahead of departure, she was told that she had to be there 1 and a half hours early, so she was rerouted through Charlotte. We did not get to meet in Dallas as planned.
3) Flight from Dallas to Cancun was changed, a month or so ago, to arrive 1 hour later than originally scheduled. Never notified.

As the owner of Travel Travel, I have personally investigated your points and my comments are below.
(1) Yes, my agent Lori did make a mistake with your wife's name on the ticket. Even though we sent you several confirmations and we looked at it many times, the mistake was not noticed until you saw it on the updated flight itinerary. Once notified, we got it fixed at no cost. We sincerely apologize for this error. Lori recently resigned and no longer works in our office.
(2) We are very sorry you did not get to fly from Dallas with your sister as arranged. I checked American Airlines website, which states passengers should book in at the ticket counter at least 60 minutes before their flight time. I literally spent hours contacting American Airlines and was told passengers should present themselves 1-1/2 hours without bags and 2-1/2 hours with bags, before flight time. No explanation was given as to why this is not noted on their website.
I discussed what had happened to J. and S. with American and was told there is no way, post-travel, they can check to see what transpired and why. I personally, in my 29 years in the travel industry, I have never heard of any passenger arriving 1 hour 20 minutes before flight time and being changed to another flight, through a different airport, for being "late".
(3) We as travel agents have no control over how and when airlines change schedules, which they do continuously with little or no regard for their passengers. Because we deal with many schedule changes, we notify passengers only if the change will impact their initial departure or could cause a missed connecting flight. This was not the case with your schedules as only arrival times were later than the original flight. If you'd had a private transfer we would have notified them of your delayed arrival time. Shuttles run all the time, so are not affected by your changed arrival time.
I apologize for any inconvenience and frustration your noted problems may have caused you and your family. We trust that despite everything, you had a wonderful vacation. We hope we can look forward to serving you again in the future.

I had a very tight window to travel in and had to be there on time. Reservations were perfect and the rental car company was handled by you as well. They tried to charge me more but when I showed them the invoice by Travel Travel they gave me the correct rate.

Thanks for the “follow up” on our Globus fall tour. We returned late Saturday evening, and I’ve finally finished washing our dirty laundry!
The tour was fine - coach driver was outstanding and tour director did a good job keeping things moving and interesting. We saw some lovely countryside, several interesting museums and met some really nice people on this tour.
The hotels were mostly average but certainly acceptable and the meals provided were very good. We did spend more time on the coach than we expected but there were frequent stops to stretch our legs and use the rest room. Our flights to and from Boston were on time - no delays on either end.
We’re looking at the Panama Canal info — am I correct that the shorter cruises (10 days) don’t actually transit through the canal like the 15 day ones do?

Much different type of cruise. Oldest demographic I have seen on any cruise. Began to see this some when in Russia but this seemed like a nursing home on a boat. Princess was in great shape. We got bumped from Normandy due to stock strike and from Guernsey due to weather. Travel travel efforts were spot on. No issues. Appreciated the dinner at the Crown room. Was flawless. Great! Great room, ship destination, excursions. Recommend you recommend seasick meds just in case. Rick equated the ship movement to that of a plane and that if we didn't get air sick, we wouldn't get sick on this cruise. The first two days were in rougher waters; same on way back. Once in the inside passage, everything was smooth. We made the mistake of saying, "yes" to a 5 hour lay over in Seattle airport. Our lesson learned. Thank you, Rick! It was a nice trip!

I experienced flying with Southwest airlines for the first time and enjoyed my flights. Very important to pay for automatic check in. Otherwise I would not have enjoyed being seated in the back of the aircraft. My car rental at dollar was great and my trip to Vashon Island was enchanting. Overall the process went well. We enjoyed our vacation. There were a few glitches early on with communication, but once the trip was booked, we were excited to go on our trip. When the hotel made a mistake with our reservations, Lori stepped in, contacted Fun Jet and the hotel and quickly had the issue resolved and we were compensated for the inconvenience. We are so grateful for Rick for helping my husband and I, plus 4 other family members (who live elsewhere) coordinate a wonderful trip to Australia! It was a vacation/ family reunion and it was so nice to have Rick help us out with the details and to answer any questions we had. We had a wonderful time in Sydney visiting with family. The vivid light festival happens during June and it was really neat to see Sydney with the different light displays on the opera house, harbour bridge and elsewhere throughout the city. Then we headed up North to Cairns and Port Douglas.
Cairns was nice to experience but our favorite spot was Port Douglas and wish we could have spent more time there. Highly recommend Port to Port Transfers! Briana Conrad is the owner and is wonderful! We had our own private shuttle to travel from Cairns to Port Douglas and then back to the Cairns airport.
A must-do in Port Douglas is a day tour with Tony's Tropical Tours, I believe it was tour option A. Went to Mossman Gorge, took a boat on the Daintree River and saw crocodiles, then drove around the Daintree rainforest which was amazing! Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun. Your Travel Travel work was fine, no problems.
HOWEVER, the return to Denver from Paris (arranged by Viking Cruise Line) using Delta/Air France was a nightmare.
Viking got us to the Paris (CDG) airport about 3 hours and 45 minutes prior to fight time. But that was barely enough. We were in long lines to hand over bags, clear customs [why they do that on outgoing flights I don’t know), and hand carried bags and personal inspections. Seemed like millions of people were departing CDG on Friday [ and now that I think about it, we had to wait in huge line to in-process thru Customs too. Grossly under staffed ]
Then an 8 hour flight in cramped seats, with the temperature cranked up, to NY (JFK)
At JFK, the departure plane arrived late for our 7:35 PM departure- - about 45 minutes I think. So we got loaded onto the airplane over an hour late. Then we sat at the gate for about 15 minutes awaiting push back approval. Then we got into a long “Conga Line”, sitting for a few minutes, then moving for a few minutes. After 3 hours, the pilot said FAA rules required that we return to the gate. They got us off the plane, and a bus took us back to a different gate in the terminal. It’s now after midnight and we didn’t know what to do. Finally, after about an hour, they said we could re-board the airplane. [ We were actually grateful for that] So after that was accomplished, we got back into the Conga Line again. Over an hour later, we took off for Denver. After 4 hot, cramped hours in that plane with “excellent” cold water refreshments, we landed in Denver. 1.5 hours to get home.
Not your fault of course, but I just wanted to vent. I’m going to try and avoid Delta, JFK, and certainly CDG.
Colorado air and lack of humidity, and home felt and smelled GREAT!

Every thing went according to plan. The meet & greet at Lusaka was big help. Lodges & bush camps were superb with the bush camps especially being fantastic. S. & C. were great company & the photo opportunities unbelievable. Highly recommended trip & well worth the high cost. This was my 6th trip to Africa & was by far the best.

You did great! We had a wonderful time! There are a few things you may want to know. When we arrived they asked for a credit card and charge us. I realize it too late and told them that we paid for this. They said you didn't do something right and that's why they charge us again. She said it happened earlier in the day with another family you booked there. It took them 3 days to take the charges off our credit card. All week, we had to ask for towels, there was 5 of us and they would give us 3-4 towels. The 2 rooms worked well. Breakfast was the best!! No place to get soap or quarters for the laundry. These are all small things, that we worked out but thought you may want to know. For some reason our Sea World tickets didn't work. We stood in one line only to be told that they couldn't help and sent us to another line. See you next year for another great adventure!

Excellent. All flights were on time. The Gate1 tours, as usual, were very good. transfers from and to airports were there and on it. We may not have needed the Transfer from Barcelona to airport, but that was my call. Gate1 had other similar transfers set up so we had company in the limo. I don't know if they paid what we did, but it was my call because you and I did our flights to use miles. Anyway, all was great. One of our hotel rooms in Portugal was a huge suite with a huge deck over the pool. Our entire group could have partied in it, but we did not invite anyone.

We had a good time fishing, for a once in a lifetime experience I'd say it was worth it (if you like fishing). Given the size of the boat and the fact that all of the fishing was trolling, I definitely think the private boat is the way to go. We were also lucky we had a private boat as Lomas had "an issue with transportation" and sent us to the marina via cab an hour late. Had we been on a shared boat, I suspect they would have left without us. We caught a total of 4 fish, two small fish and a nice sized red snapper and a sailfish. Not very many, but we didn't get skunked and the two big fish were pretty cool (the captain and crew were very excited when they saw the sailfish on the line). They wanted $1400 to mount the sailfish, so we threw it back :) The captain said the restaurant in the marina would cook up the snapper for us, but we had to catch our ride back to the hotel so we just gave them to the crew.

Everything was perfect from the flight to transport from the airport to hotel and back. The hotel was simply amazing. The staff was great, food was the best, the specialty food was super. The small upgrade we did there was worth it as we got access to better beach, free events, sail boats, and more. I can't say enough we loved the hotel it eco friendly and we did walks with guides for free seeing butterfly Averie's, animals, leaned about trees, plants etc. we did free archery one day and could do so many activities everyday. Absolutely fabulous... everything just perfect as we had enough time to find our next departure gate go to the restroom and get some snacks for the plane.... We met T. in Houston he had breakfast purchased for us we had time to eat before boarding... We loved The Old San Juan Hotel and breakfast was just normal price like $15.00 a piece ordered from menu so was fine...Totally loved our cruise our staterooms and balcony were amazing super nice spacious rooms...We all got to watch the Pilot boat come in get the Captain that took us out to sea...We danced and sang about every night.. went to the Casino won a bit.. I know I have gone through different airline preferences in the years I have been getting your assistance, but I definitely prefer Virgin to all the others because of the good flight path they take. They do their best to make a flight smooth, in spite of the weather. And they do not fly directly over the mountains which increases the odds of a bumpy ride.

Travel Travel has been my travel agency for more than 30 years. I've known owner Gillian Rosenthal longer than I've known my husband! They have booked wonderful trips for my entire family and friends around the world for decades. Last week agent, Rick, went above and beyond. When mom and I were stuck in Hawaii at the hospital, Rick was there to find and hold back up flights for me. A few days later he spent ALL day fixing a hot mess when my family's cruise was cut short. He made sure that my sister, my uncle and L, all got home safe and sound and TOGETHER! Which was NOT Princess Cruises plan!!

Everything went smoothly as usual.....was nice returning to the Visconti in Rome. The cruise was great , but there were cases of gastrointestinal virus that led to changes.....all food in the buffet had to be handed to you by staff which meant lines for coffee and food.....hand washing was imperative.....but overall the excursions were fun and interesting and the ship had the usual amenities provided by Holland America and the food was great......only complaint, far too many old people ! Thank you so much for everything you do..........and everything you do makes traveling so much more enjoyable and relaxing.

Hey Gillian,
A and I are on our second night of 7 in Disneyworld. The state at the Wilderness Lodge is not so great so far. We asked the front desk about it and they did not seem to care one bit, which makes for terrible customer service (especially at Disney). I know they are refurbishing parts of the hotel but I didn't think the experience was going to be this bad. Our view is of construction and porta potties in the back of the hotel. We are trying to make the most of it but this has been my second night in a row up and unable to sleep. The rain is not bothering us too much, can't do anything about mother nature. I wasn't sure if there was anything on your end that can be done about our room situation. I know none of this is your fault or anything like that but I figured it was worth asking you about. Also, I would not recommend this hotel to any other travelers you have in the future. I am the least picky person and most easy going person you will ever meet and I just cannot believe how bad it has been so far. Let me know if you have any tips for us. Thank you so very much. The girl spoke to 4 people and nobody can do anything. They say if you leave early there will be no refund. UAV is now trying one more avenue to try and get that rule waived, and then they will try and get you to another property.
Have you asked to see a Manager !!?? I'm sure you have. Perhaps because of construction its not busy because its half closed down ?? My rep has not returned my call or email today, she must be out of town. Try again at the hotel. People no-show and then they have rooms available.
I am so sorry, but don't let this spoil your honeymoon, enjoy yourselves.

After further follow-up and more calls to United Vacations, Disney finally agreed to move our clients to another Disney property. They transferred to Port Orleans Riverside where they told me they were were much happier with the resort and accommodations.

Gillian, Article on cell phone use overseas interesting....still does not explain to me why before your unlocked purchased cell phone didn't and now it will? Seems you are going to do the same with it..switch sim card etc. what is different?
I have had several friends also with same issues...buy a phone ...have verizon or company say it will work and futile efforts.
Recently, my friend traveled to Rome with his cellphone supposedly ready to go for to call family once there....Did NOT work. Eventually a citizen took the phone, purchased the sim card there, inserted it and got it to work. Or buy the phone over there.
Hope to near your results along with the tips..secrets to making this work. Thanks.

It was really clear that the SPB tours were far superior to what the cruise had arranged...cheaper with much smaller tour groups...in fact, our tour in Tallinn, Estonia ended up being a private tour. Oceania had no problem at all with people doing private tours in St. Petersburg...they just wanted to see your ticket. Oceania was as advertised...the seas were calm....the itinerary was fine....the food was great. We probably related more to the Oceania staff and one SPB tour guide in particular than to other passengers.

Hi Gillian,
Returned from Australia, Tuesday afternoon! The trip was GREAT! Flew around the country. I took side-trips to Philip Island (Melbourne) and Kangaroo Island (Adelaide). Both were nice trips and the weather was good. Hotels in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney, were all nice and more than adequate ... Alice Springs, not so much. Seeing 'the Rock' was well worth the trip, although there were a LOT of 'tourists' (too many). There was a $25 AUD cost to purchase a National Park pass at the rock, which was good for 3-days. It rained, my last 3-days in Sydney, so did not get to the zoo, which means I'll probably 'need' to take another trip to Australia!

Returned from Australia, Tuesday afternoon! The trip was GREAT! Flew around the country. I took side-trips to Philip Island (Melbourne) and Kangaroo Island (Adelaide). Both were nice trips and the weather was good. Hotels in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney, were all nice and more than adequate ... Alice Springs, not so much. Seeing 'the Rock' was well worth the trip, although there were a LOT of 'tourists' (too many). There was a $25 AUD cost to purchase a National Park pass at the rock, which was good for 3-days. It rained, my last 3-days in Sydney, so did not get to the zoo, which means I'll probably 'need' to take another trip to Australia!

Thank you for arranging all the flights for our Colombia trip. Everything went just as planned and all of our flights went excellent. We had booked a rental car in Bogota, when we arrived the agency was already closed and we were not able to get a rental car at all. This was for the best, as taxi’s are cheap and we would have never found our way around the city! Cartagena is beautiful and we did get our rental car there! Already thinking about our next trip and hope you will be able to help us again – Chile is on my mind! Rick is excellent, we really appreciate all he did , he also arranged flights for both my brother-in-law’s.

We just returned on Sunday evening from our trip.
Debbie was our travel agent and I cannot say enough great things about how this trip was organized, she did an awesome job! Every one of our connections went off without a hitch and she handled every detail from using my United miles to baggage tags. She kept us appraised of the Zika outbreak and sent us literature on ways to mitigate the risk. She provided us with options on hotels and a variety of flights that would ensure we returned on schedule.
The island was incredible, no road and no cars, truly a tropical island paradise. Our hotel, Yemaya, was without a doubt the most beautiful and secluded place I’ve ever stayed at, no jet skis or thumping disco music. I would recommend this place to any of your clients who want a romantic getaway. The island also has some cheaper hotel, still nice places, so people can still enjoy the island without the hefty price tag. Not a great place for kiddos, since there are no zip lines or atv tours, just beautiful sandy beaches and serenity.
Debbie took all the stress out of planning a vacation and allowed us to concentrate on enjoying it.
We will absolutely be coming back for our next vacation and I look forward to planning it with any of your wonderful staff. I will be giving your number to travelling friends, and tell them of the fantastic job your team/Debbie did for us

I did have some issues with the airline. They changed the original departure time and the connection time was too short. On top of that the plane had maintenance issues and there were weather delays so I had to arrange for a flight change (my husband was actually on the phone with Delta and arranged everything). My bag was delayed for 4 days and some of my items were stolen so I have to go through the report process.
In the future I think I will avoid traveling with Delta – their mile system is terrible and after all those flights I only have 5k miles available.
We will absolutely continue to use Travel Travel in the future! My next one won’t be until August but if something changes I will let you know!

Peermont Mondior was the perfect start! No need to drive to a restaurant after a long flight. Enjoyed seeing friends and family!
Granny Mouse Country House was luxurious and serene in such a beautiful location. The Drakensberg Mountains, the Midlands, Howick Falls & Mandela Capture Site made the journey!
The Oyster Box was fabulous... Perfect location. Great food, great views, amazing people. Enjoyed NYE in Ballito, walked the Durban Beachfront for memories and enjoyed an almost-vacant beach at Sheffield Beach on NY Day! Saw monkeys on the way back too!!
Stocked up on some Springbok gear at the Durban airport and enjoyed Addo Park immediately after arriving in PE.
The Courtyard was lacking...smoke smell in the room but hey, it was just a short stop on our way to J-bay and adopting a penguin at St. Francis.
The Knysna Hollow was a fun to stay in a lapa! We touched elephants at the Knysna Elephant Park, met friends at Mossel Bay, watched bungee jumping at Bloukrans Bridge and hiked the beautiful Storms River Mouth area. The Knysna Hollow was near a small waterfront mall in Knysna that was nice (although I got food poisoning at a seafood restaurant there, oi!). Cape Town was fun but we certainly could've spent more time there...we were out 2 days with food poisoning. Oh well! We still stopped by Cape Agulhas on the way. Then enjoyed False Bay, the Cape Point and a couple wineries while we were there regardless.
I cannot wait to go again!!! Hopefully within the next 3 years!!

Wow this was one fantastic trip. We made all the connections and saw all that we could, but there were some difficulties that we did experience.
United Air Service Denver to/from Honolulu - This really sucked. On the way out we were offered a "snack" for $10 that turned out to be kinda a hot pop tart sorta thing. I saw an experienced traveler who had picked up a dinner bag (consisting of a good looking chicken salad sandwich, good sized bag of chips and a drink). Cost $11. I would recommend this to all future travelers on this outbound flights.
On the return trip United really sunk to new lows. The air-frame change is this - they took an old 757, took out all the old seats, brought in a bunch of slightly padded boards (really really bad, it took me 3 days to walk upright (I have spinal stenosis), reconfigured the rows so that extended seating now covers 2 exit rows (meaning there were 2 rows in extended seating that did not recline - C. and J. got one of these rows). No food service (unless you bought another snack (we choose to eat before we left), no coffee service before we landed, and we had some turbulence (this means that every time the seat belt sign came on an announcement was made). I counted the announcement 12 times in 5 hours or every 25 minutes.
Hawaiian Airlines - Wonderful Wonderful! It was like night and day compared to United.
I know that United is the only airline to offer Denver to Honolulu direct. But, this maybe a much better option. HA does offer Phoenix to Honolulu direct. The current price is around $360. They do have extended seating for and extra $100. There appears to be only one flight per day. This may involve flying down to Phoenix the day before and staying at the airport (or nearby) to catch the 8:00 am flight out but I think that United is that bad it would be worth it.The return trip will also require a stay in Phoenix, but the timing is better. We could have left Kona at 10 am, left Honolulu at 1 PM arrive Phoenix at 10 PM, go a good nights sleep and then flown back up to Denver well rested.

Kona - Good Location Good Wyndham Condos for J./M. and B./C. but C. and J. were put in a smaller unit on the fringes of the complex. They were not happy. We made these reservations well in advance. We should all have been together!
Ibis Hotel - rooms tiny, but the location was truly wonderful. It rained while we were in Sydney so it put a damper on this very big city.
Celebrity Cruise -Wonderful Dining staff, room staff, good entertainment, The only problem was that we had decided to do Dunedin and Wellington on our own. I even had some advise on how to do it. Basically the advise was to get off the ship, get on transportation to the City Centre and then enjoy the sights by walking around. This would have never worked for us, we had a hard time deciding on what to eat much less what to see and only one of us could follow a map. M. and J. went to a Celebrity briefing on New Zealand, figured out that we were in trouble and helped select 2 cheap excursions that turned out to great. We had one excursion (to Christchurch) got us back late, we could not see Akara. We think this was a driver issue and a late start off the ship (Celebrity decided to do a Crew Emergency exercise during departure).
One observation that I had not considered was perhaps a later sailing would have been better. If that same cruise was available in late January or early February it might have reduced the Holiday congestion considerably.
So, this is M. and J.'s feedback.

I am going to challenge Funjet on the different hotels rooms in Kona. You were all booked in exactly the same category and in one booking, so you should have been close if not right next door.
I know - United is probably the worst US airline these days. Lots of folks do an overnight on a long flight, but yours was in Hawaii as it was. Phoenix would make another overnight, but you are right, it may be worth it. I won't say I'll look at it next time, because you probably won't be doing that route again for a while, unless its China or somewhere !!

My Husband T and I took a Viking Ocean Cruise in September and we have been meaning to let you know what a wonderful time we had. This trip has spoiled us for any other cruise line out there. The rooms were spacious and we loved having a balcony. The service was impeccable, the food was fantastic and we felt it was a great value for everything that was included. We also wanted to thank you for your advise about booking the aisle seat and the window seat. We did not have anyone in the middle so we could spread out. Gill. First group outstanding!!!! OMG gorgeous, fantastic stunning .... great sightings. Elephants in the lobby, great wild dogs, lions mating and with cubs, leopards, HOT but super great. I'm at hotel now after dropping off group one and will do dinner with group two in a few hours whew! GREAT place. I will try and post a few pics tonight.

Rick was fantastic as usual. Over the top service and he went above and beyond to ensure I would get an adjoining room for my kids.
Great planning, great communication and a great trip.
I don't know how often you use Lomas Transportation -- I believe that was the name of the transportation company. The greeting at the airport, setting expectations, and the ride down were very good.
The ride from the resort back to the Airport was a bus instead of a Van because we had more people. They left our resort about 20 minutes late and with all the other stops they got us to the airport about 1:25 minutes before flight versus the expected 2 hours. As a result we were walking up to the gate when they started boarding.
That could be improved as it was a little unsettling wondering if we might miss our flight.
Your team is the best though!!!!!

Had a great time, but it was exhausting.....we did 2 twelve hour days at Universal, and we are Harry Pottered out !!! Should have had you recommend the hotel.....don't know why I said Cabana Bay.....it was okay......50/60's décor and music, but the room would have been comfortable for 4 people, but not 6.....rather cramped.....food was terrible.....all fast food type stuff......pools were great.........kids had a blast..........Thanks for putting it together on such short notice.........Happy Thanksgiving .....

Thanks so much for all your help. I can’t imagine going on a cruise without it. Everything , from motel to shuttles back and forth from ship, worked just as it should. It was a great cruise!!! Also, thanks for champagne and ship credits. Thanks again for everything!

I am just browsing at this point, but wanted to see if you have some rates for Disney for 4 adults and 2 children (11 and 12) for Jan 2 - Jan 5. I was looking at one of the 2 bedroom villas at Disney Saratoga Springs or similar with 2 day base park tickets for each one of us. We want to stay at a Disney resort so that my parents can use the transport and come back to the hotel when they get tired. We want to do Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios this time around.

The point of this email, the point is the review of our fabulous seven day familymoon for five people which you got us for I believe UNDER $5K, which, with all of my hours and hours of research, I though was pretty much IMPOSSIBLE. But despite my skepticism of "how much fun can it be if you get what you pay for"...we had a great time!
Any of the bad reviews we read online were written by people who obviously did NOT know the meaning of "tip regularly", I mean, we didn't even tip like rock stars, we just made sure everyone who serviced us, from the bell hop to the bartenders to the waiters, got a "little something" and we had amazing service.
The rooms were very clean and very pretty. The red heart with flowers and chocolates on our bed for our "honeymoon night" was so sweet!
The kids had an absolute blast!! There were plenty of free activities to keep them occupied, and even though there was only one big family pool, the kids didn't mind and played there every day. There were always plenty of chairs- I heard at other resorts you had to get up at 6 am and reserve a chair, not here! The other adults-only pool was virtually empty every day and a godsend for those wanting a little "quiet time". The events and shows every night were fantastic! The White party and the Elvis Rock-n-Roll shows where our favorites. The dancers were so talented! The kids liked that the DJ played music after every show so they could dance the night away...
All in all we had a wonderful familymoon. The food was great. The buffet always had lots of options and the open snack bar was a such blessing for our always hungry teenagers! The little "Romantic Getaway" package was great and the romantic dinner for two was incredible. And the couple massage...Oh-la-la...Our surprise familymoon gift was so cute! It was a little tequila mini bottle with a doll-sized sombrero and two shot glasses, I loved it!
We even went to the "timeshare presentation" to get a free ziplining and city tour package for the family. It worth the hour long schpeel and we had an amazing day!
Thanks for making this happen! We will come back to you if we ever plan another family vacation like this again.

Gillian - had a great time on our Alaska trip. The weather cooperated and we were in the 30% that actually saw Mt. McKinley. Our most memorable experience was taking a flight to a glacier on Mt. McKinley - well worth the price. The cruise was very good, great food and scenery. The Princess lodges were very nice and all of the details were taken care of. Saw grizzlies, moose, Dall sheep and caribou in Denali Park on the tundra wilderness tour. Would highly recommend that your clients sign up for this and pay the extra compared to the Denali tour already included.
Vancouver itself was very pretty and interesting and worth at least an extra day.

Gillian, I really appreciate the suggestions below. We are in final preparation for our Viking cruise right now but will give the suggestions below serious review and get back to you after we return. I did Google the Iberostar Lindo resort - it looks awesome! We were in the Riviera Maya area several years ago (different resort complex) to attend a destination wedding (Rick booked the trip for us back then) and really enjoyed the area.

Just wanted to touch base and let you know that we are back home after a whirlwind trip through China. Everything worked out extremely well and I wanted to personally thank you and the Travel Travel team for their support and guidance though the trip development. GoWay did a marvelous job. The highlight of the trip was our guide…Jimmy Liu. We met him the moment we disembarked and ended up not with a guide but a friend. Was really very special. When I saw the tears in his eyes as we visited the orphanage where my Granddaughter was adopted I was really moved. A special guy and a terrific guide…in every aspect. Knowledge, English, culture etc. What a great two weeks!! Thanks again for all your help. The hotels were over the top in China and we had a ball. We are now back home safe and sound.
