AIRLINE FEES
Begining in 2008, airlines have been charging consumers ancillary fees made up of preferred seat selection, ticket changes, pillows & blankets, meals & beverages and other a'la carte services, which have resulted in $23 billion in profits for the industry in 2010. This year is likely to be a year of change for ancillary revenue for airlines, as consumer rights advocates call for more transparency and the US Department of Transportation considers new airline fare disclosure requirements.
Travel Travel has formatted airline consumer fees into individual airline categories, to make it easier for our clients and consumers to check how these charges will affect fare pricing comparisons for each airline. Due to new DOT Consumer Protection Rules effective 1.24.12, full fare and fee pricing is required by all travel carriers, sellers and advertisers.

Due to new DOT Consumer Protection Rules effective 1.24.12, full fare and fee pricing is required by all travel carriers, sellers and advertisers. The list does not include every airline and may not always be 100% accurate, as airline fees change constantly and can vary by specific flight, seat assignment, and frequent flier status. We strongly suggest you verify this information on your airline's websites before ticket purchase.
